2011 Crisis Response Activities

East Africa Drought and Famine Response

The largest of ERDO's crisis response interventions in 2011, we raised funds to supply emergency food and other care.

Japan Earthquake

In March of 2011 an 8.9 magnitude earthquake struck Japan, killing over 12,700 people.  ERDO responded by partnering with Convoy of Hope, Canadian Churches in Action and other Christian partners to deliver practical assistance.

Bangladesh Cold Wave

Tropical Bangladesh experienced severe and unprecedented cold weather in the early months of 2011, affecting northern and south-western parts of the country. Poor communities in the north were the worst affected.  ERDO responded with emergency blankets...
