But we also know that, while many of us are enjoying Thanksgiving dinner this weekend, others are still hungry.
As Isaiah 58:10 reminds us, “If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness.”
In a world of ever-increasing darkness, we thank God for allowing us to be part of His redemptive work — bringing light through compassion and justice. Our prayers and our generosity matter.
Each meal ERDO and our partners provide, each community strengthened, is a testimony that love will always conquer despair. As we care for the real needs of families by bringing food to the hungry through emergency food distributions and agriculture programs, we can see thanksgiving rise in dark places. Thanks to your support, we can share the light of Christ with people in need.
This Thanksgiving, I invite you to share a meal with a family facing hunger. By supporting ERDO’s food programs, you can help us increase access to nutrition in over 40 countries around the world.
As always, the ERDO staff is praying for you — our friends — every week. May this season remind you of how God’s provided for your needs, as we seek to bless others.
