Bringing Food to Cuba

Urgent Need

A Growing Humanitarian Crisis

Cuba is facing one of its worst humanitarian crises in decades. Economic instability, ongoing shortages and damaged infrastructure have left many families struggling to meet their most basic needs. Food is scarce, fuel shortages have disrupted daily life and vulnerable people—including seniors—are among those hardest hit.

Hurricane Melissa made the situation even worse. Although the storm passed months ago, many communities are still recovering while another hurricane season threatens to deepen the crisis.

Give Today

Our Response So Far

Following Hurricane Melissa, ERDO partnered with a trusted local ministry to provide emergency food assistance to 600 people.

Thanks to generous donors, families received essential food supplies that helped meet immediate needs and reminded them they were not alone. Through this practical care, our partner also shared Christ’s love with people facing difficult circumstances.

The need continues to be great, so we’re expanding our response.

ERDO plans to send a 40-foot container of emergency food to Cuba every two months for as long as the crisis continues. Each shipment will include soup packets and other essential food items, providing hundreds of thousands—and sometimes more than one million—meals.

Working through our experienced partner, these shipments will help care for elderly people, vulnerable families and others struggling to access food.

How You Can Help

40 Foot Containers

Together, we can send forty foot containers to our partners in Cuba to distribute to families in need.

Essential Food

These forty foot containers will be filled with much-needed food supplies. Little food is locally available, so we’ll be shipping in food from outside Cuba.

Every 2 Months

We will be sending a container every two months until the crisis is over. This is to help families survive the current humanitarian crisis.

How Your Gift Helps

Your gift will help purchase, prepare and ship emergency food to people who desperately need it.

It will provide nourishment to hungry families while equipping local churches to demonstrate Christ’s love through practical care. Together, we can continue bringing both hope and help to the people of Cuba.

Please give today to help deliver emergency food to families facing crisis.
