Donand is an intelligent boy who lives with his mother, father, and sister in a humble home in Bangladesh. His father works as a boatman and his mother cares for the home. Despite their efforts, Donand's parents are unable to provide for their children's basic needs.
Donand enjoys learning the Bangla language. When not in school or helping his mother with the house chores, Donand likes to play soccer with his friends. His favourite Bible story is about Jesus' birth and red is his favourite colour. Donand is a very ambitious child who dreams of becoming a pilot one day.
