Maryolin is an active little girl who lives with her mother and siblings, in her grandmothers house in, a very poor community in Guatemala. Her father works as a driver and her mother works as a vendor. Her parents try to provide for the family, but despite their best efforts, they are unable to provide for all of their needs.
Maryolin is a loving child who enjoys playing with her friends. At home she helps her mother by looking after her little sister. Her favourite subject in school is art, and her favourite colour is pink. She likes to learn about the Bible, and likes the account of Joseph. When she grows up, she would like to become a teacher.
