Nyasha is an outgoing little boy who lives with his parents, and sister in a two-room home near the Village of Hope in Zimbabwe. Unfortunately, neither of Nyasha’s parents have been able to secure reliable jobs. They do their best, but what little his father can make as a general hand and his mother as a vendor is unstable and insufficient to provide for the family’s needs. Life is an ongoing struggle for Nyasha and his family.
Many children living in this area of Zimbabwe do not attend school or complete their education because their families cannot afford to pay the public school fees. Through ChildCARE Plus sponsorship, however, Nyasha will be able to continue his education at a local school. He enjoys learning Shona, and hopes to be a soldier one day! Nyasha likes to play soccer with his friends. His favourite Bible story is about Baby Jesus, and red is his favourite colour.
