Radha is a friendly young girl who lives with her parents and brother in a small rented home in Kolkata, India. Radha’s father works hard in a factory, but he is unable to earn enough money to meet the basic needs of his family. Life is an ongoing struggle for Radha and her family.
For many impoverished families like Radha’s, education is not prioritized and children are often expected to help earn money for their families. Through ChildCARE Plus sponsorship, however, Radha will be able to attend school and receive a quality education. Radha enjoys learning English, and she likes to play hide and seek with her friends. Radha hopes to become a doctor one day. Her favourite Bible story is about Jonah and the fish and yellow is her favourite colour.
