Mariela is a beautiful little girl who lives with her parents and three sisters in a very poor community in Honduras. Her father works at a gas station and her mother looks after the home and kids. Unfortunately, her parents do not make enough money to provide for the family’s needs as well as school fees. Life for this family is difficult.
Mariela is a very cheerful child who loves drawing and playing with her friends. She has a hunger to learn, and very much enjoys going to school. Her favourite subject in school is math, and her favourite colour is blue. She loves reading about the story of Joseph and his brothers and when she grows up, she would like to become a doctor.
